Migraine Research Foundation on YouTube: See Where Your Donations Are Going!
WOW, seeing your Migraine dollars in use! This is exciting news for people who donate money to non-profit groups. The ability to learn where and how your donation dollars to an organization are being used.
The Migraine Research Founation's sole purpose “is dedicated to ending the debilitating pain of migraine. We fund innovative research to further the understanding of the causes and mechanisms of migraine, to develop improved treatments for sufferers, and to find the cure.” The MRF is committed to Migraine research and finding new treatments for it. When we donate money to any online group, do we really know where those monies go? It certainly isn’t the same as when you drop off a bag of clothing at the Salvation Army. When you do that, you’re fully aware where the items that have been dropped off will be put to good use. If you donate to a food bank, you can count on the food getting to the homes of the needy. So where does our money go at the Migraine Research Foundation?
The MRF is making it easy for us to see how they spend our money. They have put a couple videos on YouTube of two current MRF grantees, Dr. Wiesler and Dr. Stanton. These researchers go on to explain how the grant money they received is being used to help find new treatments for Migraine. Go take a look. The videos are very interesting and you may learn a bit more about Migraines while be amazed to see your money being used!
