This is What Happens After I Publish My Migraine Blog - #NHBPM Day Four
National Health Blog Post Month - Day Four: What Happens When I Press "Publish."
WEGO health has a 30 day blog post challenge that I've accepted. What is nice about this challenge is that WEGO is providing us with topics for each day. Well, I missed yesterday, so that is one of my "excused outs" so to speak. Today is what do I do after I press the publish button on my blog. I'm going to be really, truly honest here. Ready?
What happens after I publish my blog? Between you and me, I feel a great sense of relief! Relief - that I have actually completed a project. Relief - that something so minimal and takes me so much time, is finished. Even though I have tools, tricks and tips to help with writing, it still does not come easy. By publish time, I have proofed, re-proofed, read it forwards and backwards so many times if there are errors in it I won’t be able to see them.
Next, if I haven't totally put it out of my mind (because hey, I’m done with it) I will try to tweet and facebook it. However, I am beginning to realize that when I finish something, I tend to do just that. You know the saying, “out of sight, out of mind.” It’s almost as if I have put it away in storage. This is a dangerous thing for me to do and something I really need to work on.
Maybe later in the day I will go back and read it again. Sometimes I surprise myself by what I have written. Other times I am positively horrified at the number of errors I missed! Nevertheless, when my blog is done, it’s done. Time to move on to the next one. What do you do after you blog?
