Is Santa a Migraineur?
Since the holidays are upon us, they made me start to think about how my "Migraine season" will behave this year. That got me wondering about my triggers, and how I can avoid them, or suffer the consequences if I choose not to. I can choose to maintain a good sleeping schedule, not skip meals and stay hydrated. If an onion needs to be chopped, I can make sure it is really fresh or put it in the refrigerator beforehand so it won't trigger a Migraine. Artificial sweeteners and MSG have always been an issue, so I make sure to stay away from those all year. There is one Migraine trigger I cannot avoid – changes in the barometric air pressure. I’m on my own here.
So this made me think of others who have Migraine disease, and how they cope with the holidays. But what happens to Migraineurs who have to endure their most demanding time of year – Christmas – like Santa?

Thanks for reading, and Happy Holidays!
